My name is Michalis Loizou, and I am an animator based in Larnaca, Cyprus. I began fine art lessons at a young age, which eventually led me to pass A levels exams in fine arts. Later, I graduated from Birmingham City University in the UK with a BA degree in Visual Communication (Film and Animation). In 2021, I obtained a Master’s degree in Animation from Leeds Arts University.
I have firsthand experience in 2D and 3D Animation, Stop-motion production, traditional animation, character design, and rigging. I am proficient in using software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Toon Boom Harmony. For 3D animation, I mostly use Blender.
During my freelance career, I had the opportunity to work on projects for various organisations such as the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus and the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia. Additionally, I have created graphic design assets including posters and booklets for various local events.
